Couldn’t have been a better time. Before I got there, this showed up in the Calgary Herald:

Then that night, it was a cool event with Jeff VanderMeer—been too long since I’ve seen him:
And, Saturday, an event with David A. Robertson, a new friend, and someone I’m excited to start reading:

Then it was a double-meat Whopper at the airport, snow falling outside, and getting home after dark, to live to teach another day. And, managed to whip together a long story on the first flight, and get it polished and submitted. Most important of all? The pub across the street from the hotel had salmon! Ate the same simple plate (fish/rice/peas) three days in a row, which is pretty much my dream.
