Werewolves out in the World, Part XI

The trick with this, the eleventh installment of these, it’s figuring how to list the first ten in a way I haven’t done before. Last time I used Def Leppard. Can’t remember what happened before that. Let’s see, let’s see—I know. How about:

  • werewolf-icon
  • werewolf-iconwerewolf-icon
  • werewolf-iconwerewolf-iconwerewolf-icon
  • werewolf-iconwerewolf-iconwerewolf-iconwerewolf-icon
  • werewolf-iconwerewolf-iconwerewolf-iconwerewolf-iconwerewolf-icon
  • werewolf-iconwerewolf-iconwerewolf-iconwerewolf-iconwerewolf-iconwerewolf-icon
  • werewolf-iconwerewolf-iconwerewolf-iconwerewolf-iconwerewolf-iconwerewolf-iconwerewolf-icon
  • werewolf-iconwerewolf-iconwerewolf-iconwerewolf-iconwerewolf-iconwerewolf-iconwerewolf-iconwerewolf-icon
  • werewolf-iconwerewolf-iconwerewolf-iconwerewolf-iconwerewolf-iconwerewolf-iconwerewolf-iconwerewolf-iconwerewolf-icon
  • werewolf-iconwerewolf-iconwerewolf-iconwerewolf-iconwerewolf-iconwerewolf-iconwerewolf-iconwerewolf-iconwerewolf-iconwerewolf-icon

Also? I could have written a novella in the time it took me to stack all that up. Worth it, though. I dig how it looks.

I dig how this looks, too:

And, I heard Tod’s graduation speech. It was solid. Rather, I should say: The truth about his graduation speech, it was that it was solid, in spite of the yellow book:

That book to the left is Monsters, a Love Story? I think I’m in love with that title. Thanks, Scott:

Thanks for nabbing that last one. Also, this is either a freaky shelf or a really clean trashcan or an unfinished chair, yes?

At this resolution/size, and this late in the game, I can finally see that that twitter ‘Compose’ button, it’s a quill, isn’t it? Weird callback. Or, maybe not: is it a feather because Twitter’s logo is a bird? Is the idea that we pluck a feather from the big flying thing, and write for 140 characters? Kind of cool.

Anyway, all I meant to say was thanks, Nick:

I can see with great confidence that Mongrels has way less cussing than the Eggert book (reason? not aesthetic or Puritan so much as me, being a really poor cusser—I always want to giggle after the profanity, which, I think, kind of undoes the profanity). Also, no fun on the back side of the title page. Unless you find CIP data fun? If so, it’s a wonderland.

Thank you, Tom.

And here’s maybe the first of all of these with me actually in it as well, with a couple of superstar ex-students:

Ah, nice. Thanks, Jedidiah. His bookshelf’s a bloody place to be. Little bloodier now:

And, I’ve long since lost the screencap, but way before Mongrels came out, I searched it up, and it was still playing beta to the BBC Mongrels television show. Happy to say it’s now clawed to the first result:

And, talking BBC, I searched “Mongrels” on Facebook, peeled through the yellow-book results, and got to this cool conjunction—Ted Nugent/The View/Obama/Muppets (or puppets, or whatever those things are. could be real for all I know):

Also, talking that kind of fun, I did a disambiguation-thing for/on “Mongrels” over here.

And, Litsy, how I love Litsy, can’t stop going to Litsy, can’t even seem to stop typing “Litsy.”

Thanks, Cheryl. Werewolves are real to me too.

And, here’s keeping it all in the (animal) family:

That review’s here.

And, this workshop, it’s in three days, I think:

Also, and this is odd for me, I can’t for-sure place that werewolf mask. Curse of the Werewolf, maybe?

You’ve got to zoom WAY in to see the yellow book, sideways kind of by my mic. This is at Denver ComicCon. Molly Tanzer to my left. Captain America right in the sightline that ends between me and her.

And here’s Mongrels at Tattered Cover’s booth, on Friday, when they had a full supply. That’s Jason Heller and Josh Viola’s Cyberworld postcarded up from it, too—very cool.

And, the Dark Horse bags for DCC, they were the same color as Mongrels. Meaning, sitting at a table, I kept seeing my book walking past:

The world is full of Sophie’s Choices:

And, talking Litsy—here’s a list:

And, talking Paradise Sky: get yourself to a bookery, man. That books is so, so good. Really, been an amazing summer of novels for me, so far.

Also amazing? My front name shuffling me into this row of Guests at DCC. Stant’s a good dude—I’ve been on panels with him—and who wouldn’t want to get listed along with a cute droid, but, who’s that dude making yet another cameo?

Excelsior, man. Excelsior to the moon.
